The Royal Alexandra and Albert School has experienced extraordinary success over the last few years. Excellent results combined with affordable fees (less than £4000/term for full boarding) have made us the first choice for many parents who are looking for a top quality, well-rounded education. This is a true boarding school with Saturday morning lessons, longer holidays and a vast range of sporting and other activities in the afternoons, evenings and at weekends. Set in 260 acres of parkland, yet close to London, we are convenient for families who live in the UK and overseas.

Curriculum  The National Curriculum is followed in the primary school and for Key Stage 3 (Years 7-9). Pupils then take a wide range of GCSE and vocational GCSE courses in Key Stage 4. Our sixth form operates in partnership with Reigate Sixth Form College, offering the widest possible range of courses and subjects.

Entry requirements  Entry is by confidential reference from the current school and interview, to assess suitability for boarding. No EAL provision is available. Only UK/EU passport holders and those with a right of residence in the UK are eligible for places.

Examinations offered  Key Stage 2 and 3 tests; GCSEs; GCE A levels and Vocational Qualifications in the sixth form.

Academic & leisure facilities  Purpose-built teaching facilities include state-of-the-art ICT systems providing internet and intranet access for all staff and pupils. Sports facilities are exceptional at this specialist sports college, including our own riding school and indoor swimming pool. Scouts, Cadets and Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme are popular; music and dance are outstanding.

Religious activities  The school has its own chapel and a full-time Anglican Chaplain.

Scholarships  Means-tested bursaries are available to children whose home circumstances make a boarding education desirable.

Boarding ethos
The 400+ boarders live in purpose-built boarding houses. The junior boarding house, Rank Weston House, is quite exceptional. Children board here happily from the age of seven. At the top of the school, sixth form students live in Gatton Hall itself.
