Akeley Wood School is an independent co-educational day school for pupils from the age of one to eighteen, nursery through to Sixth Form. Set across three beautiful sites between Buckingham and Milton Keynes, the school offers a happy and safe environment in which pupils can excel not just in academic subjects, but in sport, creative and performing arts, or wherever their individual strengths lie. The school fosters agile minds and a self-confidence that enables our school leavers and graduates to feel completely at ease in their own skin.

Distinctively, at Akeley Wood we educate children with a broad range of abilities, and we support them in recognising and achieving their personal goals. We do not expect our students to conform to a certain mould; rather we encourage them to thrive in an environment where independence and individuality is celebrated. Our students have the freedom to find their distinct voice, and to flourish in their diversity, ultimately becoming whoever they want to be.

Our Aims:

  • We believe in the potential of every child.
  • We are committed to a safe and family friendly community that nurtures individual self-worth, well-being and sense of belonging.
  • We strive to develop the whole child.
  • We prepare children for the future instilling a lifelong love of learning modelling optimism and resilience.
  • We instil the Akeley values of courtesy, tolerance, consideration and respect.

We offer private tours along with our regular schedule of Open Days throughout the year.  Please do get in touch and book your visit with us by calling 01280 860824.
