Akeley Wood School is an independent co-educational day school for pupils from the age of one to eighteen, nursery through to Sixth Form. Set across three beautiful sites between Buckingham and Milton Keynes, the school offers a happy and safe environment in which pupils can excel not just in academic subjects, but in sport, creative and performing arts, or wherever their individual strengths lie. The school fosters agile minds and a self-confidence that enables our school leavers and graduates to feel completely at ease in their own skin.

Distinctively, at Akeley Wood we educate children with a broad range of abilities, and we support them in recognising and achieving their personal goals. We do not expect our students to conform to a certain mould; rather we encourage them to thrive in an environment where independence and individuality is celebrated. Our students have the freedom to find their distinct voice, and to flourish in their diversity, ultimately becoming whoever they want to be.

Our Aims:

  • To live by the Akeley Wood Community Values of ‘Be More Goose’. These are: Teamwork, Responsibility and Encouragement.
  • To develop character, encouraging our students to be adventurous, collaborative and future-ready.
  • To offer a contemporary and innovative approach to academic achievement enabling each individual to discover their passion.
  • To inspire a community of global citizens who feel empowered to be active and socially-aware.

We offer private tours along with our regular schedule of Open Days throughout the year. Please do get in touch and book your visit with us by calling 01280 860824 or email us at admissions@akeleywoodschool.co.uk.
