Situated in north east London, adjacent to Epping Forest, Bancroft's is London's best kept educational secret. We feel we have got much to shout about and want to share what makes us special.
Pupils join Bancroft’s Prep at the age of 7. Prep pupils are marked out by their enthusiasm, friendliness and confidence. There is a real "buzz" in the Prep- a sense of enjoyment from pupils and teachers alike. Most Prep pupils stay with us at 11, when they are joined by 65 children from a range of schools.
Academic results at Bancroft's are fantastic. Summer 2016 saw 90% of all GCSEs graded either A*or A. A Levels were equally impressive with 90% graded A* to B. The majority of Bancroftians progress to Russell Group institutions. These results put Bancroft's firmly amongst the very top of co-educational schools in the London area.
Life here isn't just about exams. Bancroft's is a busy, energetic school. Pupils of all ages are eager to take part in a multitude of clubs and societies catering for all interests. The Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme is particularly popular, with around 200 pupils working towards awards every year. We offer a lively Cub pack, a Sea Scout Troop and a thriving Combined Cadet Force. Drama productions are ambitious and technically daring with productions at the Edinburgh Fringe. Musicians are well catered for and a variety of ensembles and choirs offer chances for regular performances. Sports facilities are first class; teams have a full programme of fixtures against local schools and also enjoy success in national competitions. Our much praised and strong Pastoral Care, with a traditional house system, underpins life at Bancroft's.
The best way of getting to know about a school is to visit. Please join us on one of our Open Days, details of which are on our website: www.bancrofts.org.
