Green Meadow Independent Primary School was established in September 2009. It is a purpose built school with state of the art facilities which include interactive whiteboards, a computer suite, large all weather pitch used for a variety of sports and an excellent adventure playground area. The school also has two covered play areas available to all age groups, with safety flooring that are used for Physical Education as well as play.
Our vision is to develop an outstanding school to enable all children who attend to fulfil their full potential. Through nurturing our children, both academically and spiritually, we aim to provide them with secure foundations for life, so that when they leave Green Meadow they have an excellent all round education and a positive disposition to learning.
Philosophy and Academic Aims
Green Meadow welcomes children from the age of three to eleven from families of all faiths and beliefs. With a small and friendly atmosphere, the school aims to inspire its pupils both academically and morally. We offer an affordable option in independent education with fees starting from only £3900 per annum for Reception Class. Please see our website for further details on fees.
We are committed to ensuring that the class sizes are never greater than 24 which is a 1:12 adult-child ratio with a teaching assistant. In small classes the children learn faster, they quickly develop confidence to express their ideas and opinions and small classes also help create a climate for learning.
We have dedicated specialist teachers that ensure the needs of all pupils are met, from high achievers to those experiencing difficulties.
We encourage children with independent thought, and a curiosity and love of learning, which will help them grow in self worth and confidence within a caring, safe and supportive environment. We believe that praise is important and that every child should feel valued. We aim to impart the shared values of respect for others and the environment, personal responsibility, tolerance and understanding of right and wrong, so that our pupils may become valued members of the community in which they live.
As Head teacher, I feel privileged to be leading this school and to be working with such a motivated and talented group of staff. We are very fortunate to have supportive and engaged parents who enjoy getting involved in our extra curriculum activities such as the Christmas concerts, assemblies and charity events etc.
