Occupying a grand former convent at the edge of Regent's Park, North Bridge House Prep School provides a high quality, all-round education for girls and boys.

The school is continually recognised for its academic excellence and on-going commitment to pupils. Awarded Outstanding in all areas of inspection, "A major strength of the school is the manner in which it consistently promotes the children's personal and emotional development."

The school's nurturing approach allows children to grow in confidence whilst receiving thorough academic preparation for the top senior schools in the country. North Bridge House Prep School sees a consistently high number of children accepted into their first choice senior schools, with many of them awarded prestigious academic, music, sport, drama and art scholarships.

To ensure each individual thrives and achieves their full potential, NBH Prep works closely with the pupil and parents to choose the right school for them. Both boys and girls have the option to move onto the North Bridge House Senior Schools in Hampstead and Islington at Year 7, whilst boys traditionally stay at the Prep School until age 13. Come the 13+ transition point, boys are excelling academically and have gained a range of leadership skills which set them up for their next school and adult life.

Similarly, at the 11+ transition point for girls, they are confident in themselves and in their exams, ready for senior school and very well advised on where they will be happy and successful.

At North Bridge House Prep, the rich and varied curriculum is tailored to challenge, stimulate and reward every pupil. The school aims to stretch pupils beyond a junior school curriculum and therefore equips children with more than just the basic understanding of a subject, setting them up for a successful academic career. Their inspection report describes the "quality of teaching as outstanding" with staff who "bring a lively enthusiasm to their teaching, which encourages and enthuses pupils in their learning."

Sport is essential to pupils' physical and emotional wellbeing and their personal development at NBH Prep School. PE and games sessions are held in Regent's Park or the school gym, rock-climbing at a local sports club, and winter cricket both at Lord's and the NBH Senior's state-of-the-art sports hall.

Sport is also included in the school's extra-curricular offering, which is rich, diverse and character-building, with activities ranging from music, art, and drama to chess, cookery, design technology, Spanish, ballet and street dance.

The school's inspection report also lauds the "outstanding leadership" and recognises pupils' exemplary behaviour, which "is founded on the high levels of mutual trust and respect between pupils and staff". North Bridge House Prep School ensures excellent safeguarding of pupils, promoting happy, self-assured children who "make excellent progress in their learning and development and are extremely well prepared for the next stage of their education."

North Bridge House is proud to be recognised as one of London's most prestigious Prep Schools, and encourages families to visit the school at an open day to find out about the real benefits of a prep school education. Book at northbridgehouse.com/open.
