Located in an impressive former convent on the edge of Regent's Park, North Bridge House Preparatory School provides a high quality, 'all-round' education for girls and boys.

We are continually recognised for our on-going commitment to our pupils. At our last inspection, the school was awarded "outstanding in all areas" by the inspectorate, receiving the following comments... "The school is a close-knit learning community in which pupils are very well behaved, happy and high achieving. From an early age, pupils develop a strong sense of self-esteem"

We know, support and inspire every pupil to achieve their full potential and provide a solid foundation for a successful academic career and adult life.

Thanks to our nurturing approach and thorough academic preparation, a consistently high number of children are accepted by their first choice Senior School, with many winning much sought-after academic, music, sport, drama and art scholarships. To ensure each individual flourishes and achieves their aspirations, we work closely with the pupil and parents to choose the right school for them. Both boys and girls have the option to move onto our Senior Schools in Hampstead or Islington in year 7, or stay with us until age 13. At the 13+ transition point they can continue their education with us at our Canonbury Sixth Form in Islington or go onto other leading London schools.

At North Bridge House Prep, we teach a rich and varied curriculum, tailor-made to challenge, stimulate and reward every pupil. We also endeavour to go that bit further than the norm and equip our pupils with more than just the basic understanding of a subject. What's more, our inspection report describes our "quality of teaching as outstanding" with staff who "bring a lively enthusiasm to their teaching, which encourages and enthuses pupils in their learning."

Sport is essential to our pupils’ physical and emotional wellbeing and development - with PE and games sessions held in Regent’s Park or the school gym, rock-climbing at a local sports club and winter cricket in our Senior School’s state-of-the-art sports hall.

In addition, our extra-curricular offering is rich, diverse and character-building with activities ranging from music, art, drama and sport (also enjoyed as part of the curriculum) - to chess, cookery, design technology, Spanish, ballet and street dance.

Our inspection also lauded the "outstanding leadership" of the school and recognised how pupils' behaviour "is founded on the high levels of mutual trust and respect between pupils and staff". We were also praised for the excellent quality of safeguarding and the provision for the welfare, health and safety of pupils.

North Bridge House is very proud to be recognised as one of London’s most prestigious Prep Schools and we welcome you and your family to visit us during one of our open days or for a private tour. Find out more at northbridgehouse.com/open.
