'Pitsford puts children first!' was a statement made to me by a current parent in my most recent parental survey and that neatly encapsulates the ethos and mission of Pitsford School.

Set in a glorious thirty-acre park, Pitsford School is a proudly small and intimate school which prioritises small class sizes, very strong pastoral care and knowing every child as an individual: this thread runs through everything that we do. The school celebrates the uniqueness of all its students which is why we boast a very broad curriculum and an exceptionally rich co-curricular and extra-curricular programme as we are determined to identify the passions and interests that lie within all of our students, tailoring a bespoke programme for them to navigate their journey through education.

We have a wide entry and add value to all of our students, our academic performance is very strong at every assessment point and, ultimately our students find their place in the world through outstanding assistance with careers and university admissions: all of our students go on to university if they wish and most attend Russell Group universities.

Our facilities are superb: a purpose built Junior School set in its own grounds, with state-of-the-art technology in every class, as well as outdoor classrooms. Our learning style is hands-on and we are proud that our children love to come to school from day one.

We have a magnificent Sports Centre, including a fitness suite, which is the envy of schools double our size. We have glorious sports fields on site and we use a full-size swimming pool a five-minute drive from school. Sport is important in Pitsford, where we prioritise participation by all while also ensuring that we can support and stretch: we have an elite Golf Academy on site with accompanying facilities and we are partners of the International Football Academy who study here and whose coaches work with all of our children.

Our senior school curriculum is a rich one: three separate sciences from Year 7 (taught in purpose-built laboratories), three Modern Foreign Languages, all facilitating subjects delivered to GCSE and A level. Every classroom is equipped with key technology and we have lavish facilities for Art and Music and a new Sixth Form Centre. Our teachers are subject specialists and very long-serving, demonstrating their commitment to the students and school.

Our life outside class is equally rich and we believe that this is where much of the best learning takes place. Music is very strong in Pitsford with a wide range of individual tuition, academic Music as well as choirs throughout the school, a jazz band and a rock band! We stage a whole school musical every year and we host an annual Arts festival, including Shakespeare in the Park. As well as performance, our clubs and activities take place every day (the school day is a full one, running from 8.40 to 5.20). We organise these activities as 'outdoor', 'creative' and 'academic' and we ensure our children achieve a balance and find what they most want to do.

Ultimately Pitsford School is not about its wonderful grounds or superb facilities but rather it is the relationships which are formed in the class and out: our children are confident, friendly and open, our teachers are dedicated and highly skilled and what strikes guests most when they come to visit is how happy and content the school is. Come and see for yourself, you will be made most welcome.
