Rosemead Preparatory School and Nursery is a coeducational independent school in Dulwich, which caters for just under 370 pupils.

Rosemead prepares its pupils for private and maintained schools in the Dulwich area and elsewhere, giving them a thorough understanding of learning and a competitive edge that helps the vast majority secure places at their first choice schools. Each year, a high percentage of pupils are given academic, sports, music and art scholarships, exhibitions, bursaries and other awards at a wide range of schools.

Phil Soutar, who joined the school in 2017 as Headmaster, has increased the provision of drama opportunities and residential experiences through the school, whilst continuing to invest in the expansion of the school's extracurricular sports and clubs, which now number just under 100 per week.

The opening of the new playground area in the Pre-Prep department and further internal expansion intended for the near future, make the school a growing proposition for the young children of Dulwich. Having it's own refurbished Nursery taking children from 2 1/2 years of age has also enabled the school to provide further educational opportunities for its families, which is an important part of Rosemead.

What has not changed, however, is Rosemead's renowned unique ethos and sense of community, and the high standards of behaviour expected of its pupils. Rosemead produces kind, caring individuals who are ready to take on the challenges of life in the classroom and beyond. Friendships are forged that last well beyond school - and that includes among the parents. It is the kind of place where pupils cry when they leave, not when they arrive.

There is no doubt that Rosemead aims to do things a bit differently, as its hugely successful annual family skiing trip to Switzerland and camping weekends, demonstrate. To find out more about the difference that Rosemead makes, please email admissions@rosemeadprepschool.org.uk.
