Founded in 1928 and located in Chelsea, The Hampshire School provides the top class education one would expect from a traditional English Preparatory School.

It is a day school providing outstanding learning in small classes, led by our highly qualified and dedicated teaching staff. The school offers a stimulating curriculum, ensuring that learning is interactive, fun and that every child is confident and valued.

The Early Years School is situated a mile away from the main school and is housed in a newly renovated classical London townhouse, providing children with the 'home away from home' secure and nurturing environment they need at this young age. The Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum is followed and the school puts emphasis on the children becoming happy, confident and polite learners who are engaged and enthusiastic in their education.

Visits to the Forest School at Holland Park Ecology Centre and exciting, original bespoke programmes occur throughout the year.

The main school's outstanding facilities include a galleried library, gymnasium, science laboratory, art and design studio, fully equipped stage and large outdoor playground.

Children excel academically at The Hampshire School, Chelsea, successfully navigating the 11+ and 13+ to gain entry to their first choice school.

Both schools have invitation only academic clubs to either extend or support children if required. Music is a strong point with over three quarters of children learning an instrument ranging from piano, guitar, cello to drums. There is a head of both boys' and girls' sports, encouraging excellence in both. Many matches are played against other schools enhancing the community feel of the school.

We also offer a choice of 70 extra-curricular activities including judo, gymnastics, fencing, archery, touch typing, dancing, art, languages, music, a radio station, ukulele and cross stitch.
