Woodhouse Grove School - unlock their potential

Woodhouse Grove School is an independent, co-educational day and boarding school located in the heart of Yorkshire providing a seamless education from 2 to 18 years. Boarding is from Year 7.

Our prep school, Brontë House, is set in large, beautiful grounds with sports fields, a separate woodland and play area for our Nursery pupils and ample parking for stress free drop off and collection. It has extensive facilities on site for science, sport, music and technology and also benefits from the outstanding facilities at the senior school, including a fully equipped theatre, artificial pitches and 25m indoor competition pool.

Our latest ISI inspection rated Woodhouse Grove as "Excellent".

At Brontë House, our wrap-around care, co-curricular activities and meals - plus swimming lessons from Year 1 upwards - are all included in the fees. For busier families we also offer a 51 week contract for Pre-Nursery and Nursery pupils as well as the school term only option.

Learning at primary school is not just academic. It is the softer, social skills that develop during this time that are the key to future happiness. Brontë House is the perfect size for your child to flourish. Classes are small enough to allow teachers to get to know how each individual child is best motivated to learn; yet large enough to provide children with a wide social circle in which to foster friendships.

"The best thing about Brontë House is how happy it makes my child. To see my daughter so positive about school, making friends and feeling safe and supported in the school is invaluable." - Brontë Parent

Sport plays an important role at Brontë House, giving our pupils so much more than just physical fitness. It is a delight to watch personalities flourish within a team, leadership skills develop and resilience grow. Our specialist sports staff know every child is different and create a sports offering that is inclusive yet challenging - and most importantly, a lot of fun!

"Since coming to Brontë, my child has blossomed. They now look forward to school each day and have rediscovered their love of learning." - Brontë Parent

Performing Arts is considered an integral part of every pupil's experience at the school; developing confidence, creativity and teamwork. Pupils are encouraged to learn a musical instrument and whatever a child's musical tastes or ability, they have ample opportunity to get involved.

The Grovian values we encourage in our youngest pupils in Nursery, are supported throughout school. We cultivate confidence, commitment, resilience and respect knowing that these qualities will allow future generations to flourish and prepare them for life; school life, teenage life, family life and work life.

To be a "Grovian" is something that benefits pupils long after they leave the school gates. The school's alumni - or "Old Grovians" - form a close, altruistic network across a huge variety of fields - from Red Arrows Team Leader to Engineer; from Chief Executive to the West End.

We can offer your child a seamless education from 2 to 18 years. Combining a co-curricular prowess and a strong academic ethos, the Grove is well known for its ability to produce well-rounded, entrepreneurial young people. Invest in your child's future, find out more at www.woodhousegrove.co.uk
