Dauntsey’s has enjoyed another stunning athletics season, with eleven pupils being selected to compete for Wiltshire in the forthcoming South West Championships, six of whom were Wiltshire County Champions at the recent County finals competition.

This follows a hugely successful Athletics season with the Senior Boys and Girls and the Intermediate Boys and Girls teams beating a total of 48 other school athletics teams, with just one defeat conceded to Millfield Senior Boys.

Marcus Olsen, Director of Sport, Dauntsey’s said: “This has been another superb athletics season for both our boys and girls. The teams have performed brilliantly at each fixture, against some very tough competition.

“We were thrilled to see so many County titles being taken by Dauntsey’s and it is testament to the hard work and training by pupils and coaching staff which has gone in during the year. Best of luck to everyone involved in the South West Championships!”

Dauntsey’s has excellent sports facilities including: eight rugby/football pitches, two AstroTurf hockey pitches, seven all-weather netball/tennis courts, an athletics track, a heated sports hall, a newly equipped fitness suite, a heated indoor swimming pool, two squash courts and a newly refurbished sports pavilion.

Dauntsey's is a leading co-educational boarding and day school for 11-18 year olds.
