The spring 2018 issue of Prep School magazine, published by John Catt Educational, is now available in print and can be read online at the magazine's website www.prepschoolmag.co.uk.

The first issue of the new year covers a variety of topics including pre-testing, upcoming competitions that prep school pupils can enter, mental health and wellbeing, sports, poetry, the launch of the SMSC Quality Mark, and battling homesickness. Some other articles you can look forward to reading includes Patricia Lovett MBE, the retiring Chief Judge of SATIPS National Handwriting Competition, giving an insight into the endangered arts; Hilary Phillips, the Headmistress of Monmouth School Girls' Prep, illustrating how she has overhauled the curriculum at her school to take a new, refreshing approach; Frazer Hemming-Allen, Director of Physical Education and Sports Science at Rugby School, discussing the importance of having a life outside of the classroom and pursuing your own interests, while Gwen Byrom, the President-Elect at the Girls' School Association, questions gender stereotyping amongst girls and what we can do to better ourselves.

Prep School is published in partnership with SATIPS (Support and Training in Prep Schools) and highlights the best of the prep and junior school world. If you would like to subscribe to the print version of the magazine, please visit the John Catt Bookshop.
