A local children’s charity is set to benefit from Barrow Hills School’s annual fundraising event, the Lenten Appeal, which ran during the second half of the spring term.

World Book Day is one of the highlights of the year at Barrow Hills School. While 2021 was slightly different due to lockdown, children had the opportunity to dress up as their favourite character and to get involved with lots of activities to celebrate.

Last week, children at Barrow Hills School in Witley had a virtual visit from six times Olympic champion Sir Chris Hoy MBE.

Barrow Hills was filled with hundreds of bubbles when ‘Maxwell the Bubbleologist’ recently delivered an educational bubble workshop for Middle Prep children, comprising a range of soapy sphere-based activities.

On Friday 8th November, at the annual Sport Godalming Awards, ​Barrow Hills School’s triumphant U11 Hockey team came third in the Go Godalming Association Young Sports Team category. Sport Godalming is an independent body with a wide brief in local leisure and sports for Godalming and surrounding villages and this award recognises local sporting achievement and celebrates the Godalming community’s passion for sport.

Barrow Hills School has appointed its first librarian following the School’s investment in a new library, which opened at the beginning of the autumn term.
