'A child's mind is not a vessel to be filled, but a fire to be kindled.'

Hill House is a family-run school, celebrating the individual while welcoming children from all over the world. We offer a broad-based curriculum to kindle children’s curiosity. We are passionate about music, art, drama and sport as a way for young people to explore and discover their world.

Our school environment is happy and purposeful fostering a strong sense of belonging. We support children’s development, helping them to flourish and achieve their best while preparing them to be life-long learners. Hill House is a warm and nurturing environment, full of fun and laughter, where the children are encouraged to have the confidence to take risks, explore interests and engage with the world and each other.

Children can enter Hill House at any age between four and eleven years old if places are available. There is no formal entry test at four years old. Older children will be assessed in English and Maths. Parents are invited to visit Hans Place any Monday, Tuesday, Thursday or Friday during term time at 8.30am for a tour of the school. Please telephone the registrar to arrange a time to visit. After the tour, if you wish, you may complete the simple admissions form. All forms must be completed by the parents, in person, at Hans Place. We will not send forms by post.
