Holland House is best described as a small school with huge character!

Our ethos is to develop happy, confident children who value their education whilst taking pride and responsibility for their own learning and behaviour. Dedicated staff strive to develop every aspect of the child, giving all pupils the confidence to speak up and articulate their views. We have been keen to cultivate a growth mindset across all year groups; children develop grit and resilience, learning to embrace challenge and to understand that making mistakes is a vital part of the learning process. HHS pupils are characterised by their eager enthusiasm, polite-respectfulness and outstanding work ethic.

We are academically selective and our results at 11+ speak for themselves. Maths and English are prioritised as we firmly believe that these form the foundation for the rest of the curriculum but we ensure excellence across all subjects; art, drama, music, dance, French, PE and IT all taught by specialist teachers. We take part in several sporting tournaments on local, regional and national levels and are very proud of our pupils' sporting prowess.

Visiting us, you are just as likely to see calm classrooms where children are quietly focused on their studies as you are to find passionate debate and avid discussions. You may well hear the clicking of tap-shoes, laughter from children delighting in their school day or perhaps a heartfelt melody from one of our many talented pupil musicians.

Capturing a school's aura in words is never the same as experiencing it for yourself – our vivacious Y6's would be delighted to take you on a tour to experience life at HHS. We know that choosing the right school for your child can be a daunting task, particularly when they are so young, so please do not hesitate to get in touch.
