Set in beautiful grounds, Huddersfield Grammar School caters for children from the nursery years right through to senior school. As an all-through independent school, we pride ourselves on our dedication to developing the whole child every bit as much as our strong examination results, and encourage our students to be future-focused, to aim high in all they do, and to make the most of the breadth of opportunities offered to them.
Our comprehensive range of extra-curricular clubs and activities range from ballet to the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, our sports teams rival the best schools in the region and regular drama and music productions are staged for all ages. One-in-four of our children learn a musical instrument, and a nature trail, Forest School space and mud kitchen ensure that our youngest pupils can explore the natural world freely in a safe learning environment.
Huddersfield Grammar School recently won a much-coveted 'Best School' accolade at the Independent Schools Association National Awards, and currently ranks 63rd nationally as a Sunday Times 'Top 100' school. Our comprehensive range of extra-curricular activities provide a rich variety of experiences for pupils, both within and beyond the classroom.
In recent years, the school has also undertaken £5.25m worth of investment into new facilities, resulting in beautiful woodland-style surroundings. These state-of-the-art facilities, combined with excellent teaching staff, and a future-facing curriculum ensures that our pupils truly excel, no matter what the challenge.
