Moreton First is the preparatory school of Moreton Hall, set amidst 100 acres of beautiful Shropshire parkland. Its location allows easy road and rail access from Chester, Wrexham, North Wales, Shrewsbury and Herefordshire.

The extensive facilities of Moreton Hall are available to all Moreton First pupils enabling us to provide an outstanding timetable combined with an exciting range of activities.

The Moreton First journey starts for boys and girls in First Steps as we welcome babies from six months. At three years children move from our purpose built nursery to Transition Class, our preschool. Here Early Years teachers guide the children sensitively in preparation for Reception. Outdoor learning, child-centred exploration and sensitive guidance is the key to our success in Early Years.

As children move along to the Junior stage we offer our formula for a successful and nurturing Prep School education. Form teachers provide an attentive eye for all children, whilst specialist teachers deliver dynamic lessons to small class sizes. Pupils are encouraged to aspire to reach individual academic, creative and sporting goals. A rich curriculum in languages, Creative Arts, Sport, Music and Drama develops interests and resilience.

We support busy family life with after school clubs, holiday club, Prep sessions, evening meals and the perfect introduction to boarding in family style houses where flexi and full-time boarders are welcomed from 7 years of age.

We believe the badge of a Moreton First education is a child, considerate of the world plus its inhabitants, ready to embrace the future.

We hope you will visit Moreton First and see for yourself how we provide our pupils with strong foundations on which to build their future.
