At Radley we offer an environment for boys to grow in self-confidence, thrive academically, and make the most of the many opportunities we offer. We pride ourselves on the pursuit of excellence and on encouraging boys to develop their talents and discover new interests. Radley defines itself by its caring community where all are passionate about what they do, and dedicated to it.

A Radley education is about independent thought and learning with enthusiasm. It is about cultural awareness and the benefits of team sport. It is about academic ambition. It is about learning to live with others; it is about preparation for the world beyond its gates. Above all, it is about the core values that will underpin success in all its forms throughout a Radleian's life: as leaders, as citizens, as human beings.

Facilities

Radley College is a full-boarding single-sex environment, in beautiful rural surroundings with stunning facilities, four miles from the university city of Oxford: the perfect setting in which to provide the very best education.

Radley boasts a mix of both modern and traditional buildings set on a beautiful 800-acre estate. Chapel stands at the heart of the school allowing the College community to meet together daily for worship and reflection.

The outstanding sport facilities at Radley include three astro's, an 8-lane athletics track, a strength and conditioning centre and real tennis court. The rowing tank, which opened in 2015, offers a perfect facility for winter weather training and to correct technique.

Radley aims for excellence both in and out of the classroom, seeking to develop qualities of inquisitiveness, perseverance, humility and kindness.

Entry Requirements

Entry is in Year 6, via the ISEB Common Pre Test. There will also be an interview and a review of the current school report. For Sixth Form entry, assessment is in November of year 11. With a new Social (boarding house) opening in September 2020, we are particularly keen to hear from academically ambitious boys who would like to come in the Sixth Form.

Scholarships

Radley has Awards that can be worth up to 100% of the fees for talented boys at 11+ or 13+. We welcome applications for boys currently attending a maintained school who excel academically or at music, sport, art or drama. Radley will provide financial support for two years at a Prep school before continuing to Radley at 13 years of age.
