St John’s Beaumont is a Roman Catholic Jesuit preparatory boarding and day school for boys aged 3-13 in Old Windsor. As the oldest purpose built preparatory school in the country, founded in 1888, we combine the rich tradition of Jesuit education with the very best that modern teaching techniques and technology can offer.

At our core is the principle of cura personalis – care for each person so that boys may flourish academically, emotionally, socially, physically and spiritually. Priority is given to Roman Catholic families but we welcome boys of all backgrounds whose parents recognize in our values and approach to education something they desire and wish to support for their own children.

With 70 acres of school grounds on site there is plenty of space for cross-country, rugby, football & cricket. A 25m indoor swimming pool and a climbing wall are also highlights of our facilities. Of equal importance to Sport is Music and the Arts, with the majority of boys learning an instrument and outstanding LAMDA results as well as a much acclaimed annual production in the outdoor theatre.

A vibrant boarding community comprising of tailored (2 or 3 nights/week), weekly and full boarders enjoy a full evening & weekend program making the most of the Schools facilities as well as the proximity to Windsor and London for regular trips out. Special activities for the boarders include a Diving (PADI) course, polo lessons and trips to Thorpe Park.

Our boys leave St John’s aged 13 and move to some of the country’s finest schools, but more importantly do so as confident, aspirational and resilient young men, aware of their own potential and their ability to leave a positive impression on the lives of others.
