Ursuline Preparatory School is a Roman Catholic school that welcomes children of all faiths and none. Non-selective by choice, the school offers a values-driven, academic education to girls from 3-11 years of age and to boys in the Pre-School class.
Established in 1892 to promote the values of St Angela Merici OSU, Ursuline Preparatory School places equal value on the education of heart, mind and soul in the certain knowledge that only through the equal development of all three can a child truly excel. The school's mission is to develop a community that lives each day working together (Insieme) and united in harmony, valuing the contributions of all and championing the virtues of love, compassion, kindness and generosity. The children are encouraged to be grateful for the gifts they have been given and to develop these gifts to the full, in generous service to others. The school seeks to pass on the living and faith-filled tradition of Jesus Christ by having unswerving faith in every single one of our pupils and by encouraging them, in turn, to have faith and hope in others. A keen focus is to educate and create future leaders in the spirit of Serviam (I will serve), keeping justice at the centre of their lives.
The core provision of this school is three-fold:

Our children enjoy a rich diversity of experiences, both inside and outside of the classroom. Our 11+ preparation curriculum, full sporting programme, and developed range of extra-curricular activities, provides an enriching and engaging provision.
The girls at Ursuline Preparatory School follow an academic curriculum and are fully supported, securing places in their senior school of choice. As a result of the Ursuline ethos, and the academic preparation put in place, the girls here can face the 11+ process with confidence. While we are a non-selective school our girls exceed expectations at 11+ with many scholarships offered.
