An initiative launched by musicians at King’s Ely to spread love and positivity during lockdown has raised more than £1,400 for an orphanage in India.

King's Ely Sixth Form student and Ely Cathedral Organ Scholar, Miriam Reveley, has achieved her Associateship of the Royal College of Organists (ARCO) diploma.

​Millfield Upper Sixth musician Tom Bradley has accepted a scholarship to study at the largest independent college of contemporary music in the world, Berklee College of Music in Boston. Notable alumni of Berklee include American indie/pop artist John Mayer and singer/songwriter Charlie Puth.

​Millfield Upper Sixth musician Woon Ngee Ng has received offers from four of the UK’s top music universities, including Royal Academy of Music, Royal College of Music, Royal Northern College of Music, and Guildhall School of Music and Drama. She has also received scholarship offers from the Royal Academy of Music and the Royal Northern College of Music, both with Double Bass as her principal study.

Cranleigh School Sixth Form music scholar Reuben A. has been awarded a scholarship to study the trumpet at the Royal Academy of Music in London, following highly competitive auditions.
