Year 6 pupils from Churcher's College had a brilliant trip when they visited the Houses of Parliament and the Tower of London as part of their Citizenship Curriculum.

They enjoyed Q&A with Damian Hinds, East Hampshire MP, after an amazing tour of the Houses of Parliament. They were able to stand near the despatch box in the Commons and walk through the elaborate House of Lords, with guides explaining the process of law making and voting.

Following their Houses of Parliament tour, the children then travelled by boat on the Thames and visited the Tower of London. Here they learnt how Kings and Queens of the past controlled their subjects with gruesome torture on one hand and the majesty of the Crown Jewels on the other. A full on, fun packed day to continue their Citizenship Curriculum.
