Hazlegrove boarders walked with charitable spirits in memory of Matt Campbell

After a tasty full English breakfast, the Hazlegrove boarders headed to Chapel. The message was about thinking of others; more specifically, about Matt Campbell (the MasterChef star who tragically died competing in this year’s London Marathon) and how the children could help his cause. They donned their walking gear, packed a picnic and headed off into the Somerset countryside to walk 3.7 miles – in support of #FinishforMatt. Starting their walk in Montacute village, they headed into the woods towards St Michael’s Tower. There was a wonderful atmosphere and the children really enjoyed the relaxed pace of a Sunday walk.

After their picnic lunch, they headed back to school for letter writing and afternoon activities. The children made the boarding staff very proud; they had embraced the message from the morning and walked with charitable spirits; it was a very uplifting and inspiring day indeed.
