"Be equipped, be inspired, be Tomorrow’s Women. In this year’s highly anticipated conference, we will be hearing from local women in our communities on how they rise above the challenges they might face and lead us all to a better future. The conference will feature women from all walks of life and fields of work, inspiring girls of the future to be the women they were always meant to be, without compromise.”

These are the words of Sixth Formers at Burgess Hill Girls, organisers of the 2020 Tomorrow’s Women conference. The event will take place at Burgess Hill Girls from 4.30 – 7.00pm, Friday 6th March 2020. Free tickets are available for all school pupils in Sussex; limited places are also available for parents.

Speakers at this year’s conference will include Paralympic gold medallist Danielle Brown MBE, Deputy Chief Constable of Sussex Police, Jo Shiner, Barclays Eagle Labs Ecosystem Manager Naomi Muston and Clare Griffiths, founder of the Thrive Effect. Attendees at the event will also have the opportunity to network with their peers and the speakers.

The Tomorrow’s Women conference is completely unique in that it is designed and managed by Sixth Formers at Burgess Hill Girls. Pupils have been involved in every aspect of the conference, from deciding the format, to selecting speakers and marketing the event.

Burgess Hill Girls Sixth Former Leisha Limbachia believes the experience has been invaluable: "Organising the Tomorrow's Women Conference has taught me vital communication and networking skills which I can use in the future. It has also been a lot of fun!”
