The new Drones Club at Hazlegrove Prep School sets the pupils a three point challenge in order to gain their Mini Drones Licence.

Hazlegrove has many amazing after school clubs available to the children. A new one this term is Drones Club which comes with its own three point challenge to all of the budding ground-based controllers.

They are working towards gaining their ‘Mini Drones Licence’ which involves taking off, landing and some controlled in-flight manoeuvres. When they have conquered this, the children are then challenged to use their creativeness to invent team games.

Mr Head, a Science specialist at the School said: "Currently, over 30 pupils are up for the tricky challenge of learning to fly during the brand new ‘Mini Drones Club’.

"It is a fantastic way of engaging the children with so many different elements of scientific thought whilst being hugely fun at the same time."
