Fifty things for girls Open Morning at Burgess Hill Girls

Posted on 5th Mar 2020 in School News, Open Days

Due to the widespread media coverage of its '50 things' list for girls, Burgess Hill Girls will hold an Open Morning for children to try some of the activities.

In February 2020, Burgess Hill Girls launched a list of '50 things' for girls to try and complete before the age of 5. The list was discussed widely in National and Regional media including The Telegraph, The Daily Mail, BBC Radio and Loose Women.

To encourage children to start the challenge, Burgess Hill Girls is holding a dedicated Nursery and Reception Class Open Morning at 10am on Saturday March 21st. Children will be able to try some of the '50 things'. They will also be given a checklist to fill in and then share with Burgess Hill Girls who will donate £5 to BBC Children in Need for every completed list.

Heather Cavanagh, Head of Burgess Hill Girls Junior School and Nursery, is delighted the list has captured the public’s interest: "At Burgess Hill Girls, getting ‘stuck-in’ is our mantra. The willingness to try new things gives young children a fantastic platform for when they start school. We are looking forward to meeting everyone on March 21st and helping them get started on their '50 Things' challenge."

Families are invited to book on to the March 21st Open Morning via the Burgess Hill Girls website at: https://burgesshillgirls.com/admissions/open-event...
