Finborough School is proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of pupil Charlie Tamani, who represented England at the prestigious 2026 U18 Six Nations Festival last weekend.

The annual festival brings together elite young rugby players from across Europe, with a strong emphasis on development, growth and high-performance competition. Charlie played a key role throughout the tournament, showcasing exceptional athleticism, skill and commitment in the England squad.

During the competition, Charlie reached a significant milestone by earning his 10th England U18 cap, an impressive achievement that reflects both his consistency and continued progression at international level.

One of the standout moments of the festival came when Charlie scored a sensational long-range ‘wonder try’, sprinting almost the full length of the pitch. The try quickly gained widespread attention across England Rugby’s social media platforms and beyond, highlighting his attacking flair and game-changing ability. His performances across the tournament also demonstrated resilience and determination, contributing to England’s strong showing.

Headmaster Steven Clark commented:

“We are all super proud of Charlie. He joined us at Finborough as an energetic nine-year-old and, with the support of our elite Rugby programme, evolved into the incredible athlete he has become. His England success points to much ahead for this young man, who has an exceptional character to complement his rugby talent.”
