Inspired by both the beautiful and thorny parts of true friendship, Kew House School (KHS) Sixth Form music student Lila has penned and recorded a soulful pop song during lockdown.

Despite her young age, this isn’t Lila’s first commercial music release. Her debut single Purse Full of Gum came out back in 2019 and has now garnered over 80,000 streams online. Purse Full of Gum was written for Lila’s Year 9 Extended Study Project at KHS and gave an early glimpse of Lila's song writing and musical abilities.

Speaking about Thumbtack Flowers, Lila said, "I’m really excited to be releasing another single… I’d say this track has a more intricate production style than my last one.”

Thumbtack Flowers was co-written with Maja Slatinsek, with Ryan Small from Rhythm Studio handling music production.
