On their visit to Salisbury Cathedral, Year 6 Leehurst Swan pupils learned about the lives of different people from medieval times, including a stonemason, King John and Lady Katherine Grey.
They explored different parts of the cathedral, looking at the Magna Carta and displays of medieval artefacts - the pillory proved more popular than it might have been in medieval times!
The aim of the visit was to use one of the stories they had heard as inspiration to write their own story, based on one of the characters. Pupils came up with some great ideas, which they have started to develop.
