LORD WANDSWORTH COLLEGE CELEBRATES RECORD-BREAKING A-LEVEL & BTEC RESULTS
Posted on 15th Aug 2025 in A levels, ResultsLord Wandsworth College near Hook is celebrating another year of record-breaking A-level and BTEC results.
80 per cent of results were graded A*-B, with 97 per cent, A*-C – the College’s best-ever performance within these grade boundaries.
This year’s results follow the achievements of 2024’s cohort, which broke previous College records.
Headmaster, Adam Williams reflected, “These results are exceptional and we’re thrilled for these young people who now step into the world with not only results, but something even more powerful: an outlook.
“We hope that the experiences, challenges and stretch they’ve been given at LWC will last them a lifetime.”
A clean sweep of A* grades now belongs to students, Grace, Dylan, Jensen, Daniel and Aidan. The progress of this year’s A-level students also places LWC in the top ten per cent of schools and colleges nationally, based upon the A-level Performance System (ALPS). This means that on average, Sixth Form students at LWC achieve more highly than similar students elsewhere.
These latest results follow LWC’s recent shortlisting for Co-ed Independent School of the Year in the Independent Schools of the Year Awards and come ahead of the College’s merger with St Neot’s Preparatory School in Eversley next month. Both schools entered into a formal collaboration in 2021 and the merger will result in the offering of an educational pathway from 2 years up until the age of 18.
“LWC is thriving.” Continued Mr Williams. “By taking brilliant teachers, adding curious pupils, putting them in inspiring spaces and enveloping them in a culture where questions are encouraged and mistakes are part of the adventure – wonderful things happen.”
Lord Wandsworth College is an independent boarding and day school for 11-18 year olds. It is set in 1200 acres of North Hampshire countryside near Hook.
