Pupils at Loretto are celebrating their success as the School has, once again, achieved an exceptionally good set of A level results.

This year, 66.8 % of all results were A*, A or B grades, an increase of 7.7% from last year, whilst 7% of pupils achieved at least 3 A* grades.

Results were excellent across all subjects, with particularly outstanding results achieved in Chemistry, Economics, French, Maths, Physics and Spanish. All three of the pupils with offers to Oxbridge secured their grades.

There were most encouraging results from Loretto’s first year of EPQ (Extended Project Qualification) results with 70% of pupils scoring A*-C grades.

Headmaster, Dr Graham Hawley said: “This year’s pupils have done very well indeed, with the vast majority securing places at excellent universities. They should be proud of their achievements, which are the tangible result of their hard work and determination”.
