Millfield students score highly in American University exams

Millfield students have scored highly in the latest round of America University application SAT exams which took place on campus.

Current sixth formers were joined by students from schools across the South West in Millfield’s largest ever cohort sitting SAT exams. Forty one Millfield students sat the paper, which is recognised by universities and colleges all over the world.

Lower Sixth Cameron Nicholson (pictured centre) achieved an exceptional 1490/1600 putting him in the top 99% National Representative Percentile (NRP). Boarder Cameron from Hampshire is studying A levels in Maths, Further Maths and Physics and hopes to study Aeronautics and Astronautics course at Stanford University with the aim of becoming an aerospace engineer.

Sixth Formers Kaira Puri (1380/1600), Lia Green (1370/1600), Wyatt Walsh (1360/1600), Sophia Wilson (1320/1600) and Tottie Taylor (1310/1600) scored highly, placing in the top 90% NRP, with over half of the remainder of Millfield students scoring in the top 80% NRP. 85% of Millfield students scored over 1000.

Millfield provides specialist guidance for applications to American universities and employs a Tutor in Charge and a SAT advisor. They ensure candidates get the best possible advice and are guided through the process. Millfield is one of a few SAT centres in the UK.
