Priory School pay tribute to war heroes on Remembrance Day
Posted on 17th Nov 2022 in School NewsOn 11 November 2022, Priory School of Our Lady of Walsinghaml held its annual Remembrance Service at St Mildred’s Church.
The service enclosed “Remembering the Great War 1914-1918” told the story of World War 1 through the songs, poems and accounts from the time. The service drew a considerable number of compliments from those attending.
One parent commented: “The Remembrance Service was very moving and extremely well balanced with the Great War Story, readings, songs, prayers, hymns and The Last Post; all excellent from everyone involved.”
Another parent wrote: “Can I just say that [we] thought the Remembrance Service yesterday was incredibly moving. We go to several 'Poppy' services every year but that really was the best. Thank you to everyone involved.”
Priory’s own “Garden of Remembrance”, composed in part of wool poppies made by junior pupils, greets all visitors at the entrance to the school.
