Snowscape for Brentwood skiers

What a great first night of training for the new Brentwood School Ski Team with nature providing the perfect backdrop!

The ‘dry’ ski slope at Brentwood Park Ski & Snowboard Centre was blanketed in snow as the School’s A Team – the Falcons – launched their bid for the Independent Schools Ski Championships in December.

The Warley snowscape was the ideal training ground and Miss Zeta Fleming, Head of the Brentwood School Ski Team, praised the young skiers’ commitment: ‘It has been an incredibly strong start for the team. Our students were brilliant and such fantastic ambassadors for the School.

‘The students all worked hard, listened carefully to advice and tried out all the technical skills and drills with enthusiasm and, most importantly, they had great fun. I would especially like to thank the staff at the ski slope for such excellent coaching and the School staff for their help supervising training.’

Brentwood School has four ski teams – the Falcons, Eagles, Hawks and Swifts – with 12–15 pupils in each team. Their inaugural season is off to the perfect start…although we can’t promise such realistic conditions every session!
