St Gerard's School achieve excellent Estyn inspection report

Posted on 15th Aug 2022 in School News

During the summer term St Gerard's School welcomed Estyn, the education and training inspectorate for Wales. Inspectors spent a week in the school; they talked to many pupils, met with parents, Trustees and held discussions with leaders, teachers and non-teaching staff in the school.

They certainly managed to get a detailed view of the school and St Gerard's are delighted with the excellent findings in the report.

The comments from Inspectors below are just a few of the many that clearly highlight the unified sense of purpose of pupils and staff and the harmonious atmosphere at St Gerard’s School Trust:

  • "Pupils feel safe in a caring and nurturing environment"
  • “Pupils have exemplary attitudes to learning”
  • “Teachers at St Gerard's have a genuine enthusiasm and passion for teaching”
