Third Year Churcher's College pupil, WWF Youth Ambassador and passionate climate activist Will attended COP26 in Glasgow last week. Read all about his experiences and watch his fascinating video diary as he interviews celebrities, royalty and key companies.

14-year-old Will’s aim was to network with key decision makers and learn from the global experts present. He also joined both the main march and the youth march in Glasgow with the other five WWF Youth Ambassadors.

Will had long 18 hour days racing around the Glasgow event to fit in all the opportunities on offer. He summarised his visit for us: “It was a resounding success, I learned a huge amount, interviewed many people from various organisations and made some valuable contacts."

The highlights include appearing on BBC Newsround, interviewing Actor and Radio 1 DJ Cel Spelman, and chatting with HRH Princess Eugenie.

Other interviews included: Global Youth Energy Outlook; Hitachi; Rolls Royce; People Power; Scottish Power; SCI; Oceanways; and the WWF Climate Change experts.

We asked Will whether he considered global progress had been made at COP26: “I found it very positive to see the world coming together to attempt to do what it can about climate change. There has been frustration voiced about the speed of change, but now I understand what needs doing I can understand that every single thing we do helps and is a step forward. I have learned that it is a gradual process, which cannot be done overnight. We need a plan and to work together, and that starts with talking.”

What’s next for Will? He has an interview with HRH Princess Eugenie scheduled to talk further about the youth view of climate change.
