Heathfield House School provides an education that is enjoyable, complete and individual. The school was founded by sisters: Caroline Goodsman and Pauline Williamson. Care is taken to strike the right balance for preparing children for the future and preserving their childhood. Children are equipped with the knowledge and skills to succeed in the modern world. The school is non-selective at Reception and the success of each child is celebrated.

At the heart of Heathfield House School lies a well-developed pastoral system. The school ethos is based upon 'The Keys to Success' which are the characteristics required to lead successful, fulfilling lives. Across the school, a growth mindset is developed within children. This is done by giving children the opportunity to experience new challenges, reviewing ways to approach problems and fostering resilience.

Lessons are designed to extend and challenge each individual. Children are supported through differentiation within the classroom, specialised provision and tailored support. Close tracking of pupils and support and extension ensures that every child can thrive.

Children go on to achieve highly, receiving offers to a wealth of selective secondary schools. Many children obtain scholarships, varying from academic to sport and music.

A diverse curriculum is provided with the addition of Latin, subject days, excursions and visits, residential trips, Current Affairs and an extensive Enrichment programme.

Great emphasis is placed on enabling children to experience a wide variety of activities from a young age to work out where their strengths lie. Sport, music and the arts play an important role in the curriculum. All children take part in regular sporting fixtures, swim weekly and take part in productions. Clubs such as orchestra, chess, choirs, sports clubs, drama, French are also offered.

Heathfield House School values its parents highly. Parents are encouraged to be supportive of and participate in the variety of school activities. It is very important for parents to share in their child's achievements. Therefore, parents are invited into their child's classroom termly to see their child's learning environment and display work.

A beneficial feature of the school is the extended care offered from 8am until 6pm daily. Breakfast and after school clubs are provided in a safe and familiar environment. Many additional clubs are on offer, including cheer leading, first aid, Lamda, creative writing and cooking. As well as these, a daily, supervised homework club is available.
