Hydesville Tower School is an independent co-educational day school for pupils from aged three to 16 located in Walsall in the West Midlands, England.

The school is owned and operated by Cognita, the largest independent schools provider in the UK.

The School overlooks the beautiful Walsall Arboretum, and was established in 1952. The School nurtures children’s’ development through high aspirations in small classes. Every child experiences personalised learning, enabling them to reach and exceed their potential.

Talented and committed teachers inspire a love of learning from Nursery at the start of the journey, to the completion of GCSE examinations at the end.

Outstanding pastoral care give support to every child, so they develop and mature into remarkable young people. This gives them confidence to flourish in music, sport, creative and performing arts. All of which are valued at Hydesville. In addition, the School’s diverse enrichment provision illustrates the importance of developing the character to thrive in the wider world.

There are many reasons to join Hydesville. Here are some of the highlights:

  • Small classes - A hallmark of Hydesville is classes that are typically half the size of other schools. GCSE subjects are often taught to just a handful of pupils.
  • Being a co-educational all-through school means siblings can attend one campus together. There’s also no need for a daunting move at the end of Nursery and Year 6.
  • We value good manners and high standards of behaviour. We promote the importance of community and value the varied contributions our pupils’ families make to school life.

Nursery children are proven to be significantly ahead of their peers when they leave our fun, teaching nursery to start school. Choose from term time only or up to 49 weeks a year.

Moving from Prep to Senior school is a seamless transition at Hydesville as Year 6 are taught English, Mathematics, Science, Art and Music by specialist teachers in senior classrooms.

We consistently top the GCSE performance tables but, better than that; our mixed ability pupils typically achieve far better grades than they were predicted at 11-years-old. Progress is the key.

We offer private tours along with a regular schedule of Open Days throughout the year.  Please do get in touch and book your visit by calling 01922 624374, email info@hydesville.com or visit the website www.hydesville.com for more details.
