Kingswood School is situated on a magnificent 200-acre site in Lansdown, Bath, and offers an inclusive boarding and day community for pupils from 9 months to 18 years. It is free of pretension and balances academic rigour, strength in the arts and sport, traditional values and outstanding pastoral care.

In September 2018, 'The Garden At Kingswood' opened its doors, welcoming children from 9 months old and is open for 50 weeks of the year. As well as 'The Garden', the development also includes outstanding facilities for children at our Prep School. This is the UK’s largest timber shingle development, with custom-built joinery and age-specific play areas. Each room has been purpose built to allow the children to flourish as they start their educational journey. Custom-built joinery and wooden indoor tree houses along with large windows at both child and adult height create a unique outdoor feel to the wonderful Nursery rooms.

The Prep School’s boarding house, High Vinnalls, caters for children from the ages of seven to eleven. It is a perfect start for young boarders, and our staff ensure that they receive the highest levels of pastoral care and security within a nurturing, home-away-from-home environment. Offering early morning breakfast, late stay with supper or the option to board overnight in one of our warm and cosy boarding houses; support for working parents are very much part of the Kingswood ethos. Parents can be safe in the knowledge that their children are surrounded by friends and looked after by dedicated staff.

Students are challenged to develop their own talents while encouraging others to do the same. Kingswood promotes confidence, open-mindedness and tolerance along with creativity and a spirit of enquiry. Academic achievement takes place within the context of all-round personal development, and high standards are combined with a sense of responsibility and service. Kingswood students excel on a personal level while also making a real difference to the lives of others.

Academic results are consistently excellent. In recent years, Kingswood has been ranked in the top 5% nationally for added-value, and regularly placed in the top 10 co-educational boarding or boarding/day schools. In the most recent ISI Inspection, Kingswood School was rated as "excellent" in all nine categories of the inspection.

Kingswood School believes that every individual has talents to be discovered and nurtured. With an extensive co-curricular programme offering over 100 activities, pupils achieve astonishing successes as they constantly progress well beyond their natural potential.
