Marlborough College provides an exceptional, contemporary full-boarding education set in a beautiful environment steeped in history. It is a welcoming community where ambition and scholarship are highly valued, creativity is celebrated, diversity is embraced and where each pupil is encouraged and challenged to be the best that they can be.

There is no "right" path through Marlborough College. Indeed, we celebrate and take pride in the fact that each young person's journey might be different. The children who thrive here take responsibility for their own journey, responding to the amazing opportunities and support available to them, and they want to be the best that they can be.

Founded in 1843, Marlborough College is the UK's largest co-educational full-boarding school. The College is academically ambitious, offering a progressive, challenging and enriching education both on and off the formal curriculum. Our co-curricular provision is second to none and all pupils become involved in a wide range of sporting and cultural activities. More than 80% of our pupils gain places at Russell Group Universities or Oxbridge, our sports teams regularly reach the latter stages of national competitions, our Symphony Orchestra plays in partnership with the Southbank Sinfonia and our artists exhibit in the Mount House Gallery.

Located in beautiful Wiltshire, in one of the most attractive market towns in the country, the College benefits from a 286-acre site, stunning period buildings including a Gothic Revival chapel and the neo-classical Memorial Hall, which is also a world class concert hall, as well as university-quality sporting facilities. The campus is centred around a four thousand year old Neolithic mound, reputedly the burial place of Merlin.

Marlborough College welcomes pupils from the UK and overseas. We have six girls' houses, six boys' houses and four mixed houses of 13-16 year old boys with mixed Sixth Forms of girls and boys. The pastoral care delivered through our 16 boarding houses is unrivalled, ensuring each child is known and cared for individually. The greatest strength of our school is the quality of the human relationships throughout our community. Full boarding fosters independence and interdependence. Pupils form friendships for life and develop the social and leadership skills needed to flourish in adult life.

We are a genuine community which seeks for everyone to benefit and contribute. The house and tutor systems and the great range of learned societies in the school make sure that the intellectual and emotional development of each child is nurtured, and further education and careers after school are planned carefully. We place an ethos of service to others and a love of learning at the heart of everything we do and whilst we are proud of our Anglican heritage, ours is an inclusive ethos, welcoming pupils of all faiths and none.

Connections with the College's alumni within the UK and internationally are exceptionally strong and valued. Our wholly owned subsidiary, Marlborough College Malaysia, provides an important global aspect to the Marlborough family. We are committed to access and outreach and there is a well-developed partnership with Swindon Academy and involvement with local and international schools and institutions. Our pupils are encouraged to be outward facing and to aspire to change things for the better - ultimately, we would like to be judged by the contributions made by past, present and future Marlburians to the health of wider society throughout the course of their lives.
