Occupying a grand former convent at the edge of Regent's Park, North Bridge House (NBH) Prep School has a longstanding reputation for providing a fully rounded education and achieving first-class results. Year after year, the school sees students gain entry to the top senior schools in the country, often with prestigious academic, art, drama, music and sport scholarships.

From the very start of their educational journey - in Reception - children benefit from specialist teaching in the Arts, languages and sport, while the school delivers a progressively knowledge-rich curriculum at each key stage, designed to stretch pupils further than in a junior school setting.

At Year 5, the curriculum spans everything from Mandarin to Design and Technology and is delivered entirely by subject specialists, to best prepare pupils for senior school and help them to find their own True North - a direction in life which reflects their unique talents and interests. An additional General Studies course broadens pupils' cultural, political and global awareness, with modules including Art History, Film Studies, and Politics, Philosophy and Economics.

The school is continually recognised not only for its academic excellence, but for its individualised approach to pupils' all-round development and wellbeing. Indeed, "Pupils' independence and eagerness to take initiative are enhanced by their experiences on residential trips and the breadth of the curricular and extra-curricular experiences with the result that the school enables all to find their 'True North'." (Independent Schools Inspectorate, 2023)

The school's focus on nurturing confidence and cultivating character ensures children are fully prepared for the next stage of their school career, benefiting from outstanding tuition and guidance for the various 11+ and 13+ senior school pathways. The school works closely with families to choose the right senior school for their child, providing either tailored preparation for UK leading destinations, or a supportive all-through education at NBH.

NBH Prep School is fully equipped with modern and specialist teaching facilities, including an art studio; soundproof music pods for one-to-one tuition, practice and recording; a stage-lit drama studio; an indoor gym; and science laboratories. In addition, pupils enjoy using the library in and out of class time, the integration of iPads and technology within lessons, and their own 1-2-1 school devices (which are provided from Year 3).

Sport is essential to NBH Prep School's focus on pupil wellbeing and personal development. PE and games sessions are held in the gym and at Regent's Park, which is home to the school's many sports fixtures. Rock-climbing takes places at a local sports club and winter cricket is played at Lord's. The school's diverse extra-curricular offering includes close to 40 clubs, which range from music, art and drama, to chess, cookery, Spanish, ballet and street dance.

The school's Excellent inspection report also lauds "the strong and supportive relationships pupils have with each other and their teachers". NBH Prep School promotes happy, self-assured children who "move on to the next stage of their education with highly developed study skills", which "are enabled through the specialist teaching and knowledge of staff".
