North Bridge House Nursery and Pre-Prep are happy, high-achieving, co-ed, mixed ability schools in the heart of leafy Hampstead. Our pupils achieve well above and beyond the national average and are well prepared for the next stage in their education, progressing from Reception having become confident mathematicians, able to read and write their own stories.
At North Bridge House Nursery and Pre-Prep Schools, we have created a warm and nurturing environment in which children find confidence and develop the fundamental skills upon which their future successes are built. We believe that happiness is the key to successful learning, particularly in the formative years of education, and are committed to providing our young children with an enjoyable learning experience, a curiosity for knowledge and a real sense of achievement. We offer a rich and varied curriculum with a team of inspirational teachers who carefully track and encourage pupils’ progress, ensuring that the curriculum is individually tailored to each child’s needs.
In addition, pupils thrive on our range of extra-curricular activities, which vary from sport and LAMDA lessons during the school day to a whole host of after school clubs and day trips – yoga, robotics and cookery to name but a few. Both schools have large playgrounds which facilitate the broad array of extra-curricular and sporting activities designed to spark curiosity outside of the classroom. Children’s inquisitive nature is further developed through caring for animals. The Pre-Prep's ‘Cluckingham Palace’ houses a variety of chickens, named by the pupils, while the school also welcomes a mobile farm every year. Children further benefit from a whole range of day trips and workshops, as well as weekly outdoor experience trips to Cuffley Camp, where they develop resilience, teamwork, self-confidence and communication skills.
Above all, we are very proud of the strong academic foundation and independence that our young pupils gain in the Nursery and Pre-Prep Schools, and are delighted by the many successes they continue to achieve as they develop and grow. We very much look forward to welcoming you and your children to one of our open events, where you can experience our warm and caring community for yourselves.
