North Bridge House Senior Canonbury, rated 'Outstanding' in all areas by Ofsted, is located just minutes away from Islington's vibrant Upper Street and a high-achieving, mixed ability, co-educational school catering for students aged 11 to 18. From the academically rigorous curriculum and wide range of enrichment opportunities to the school's focus on understanding pupils' needs, students are prepared to navigate their way in a globally competitive future. We celebrate impressive results year-on-year - 24% top Grade 9s at GCSE and 68% A*/A grades at A-Level in 2020 - and students gaining university places at a range of subject specialist, Oxbridge and Russell Group institutions.

The Grade II listed building is over 500 years old, magnificently restored to provide a unique schooling experience, and surrounded by beautiful gardens in which students enjoy outdoor learning and breaktime. Characterised by its original Tudor architecture, North Bridge House Senior Canonbury provides contemporary teaching facilities with spacious, well-equipped classrooms and specialist spaces for Science and Art; and the historic King Edward's Hall for Music and Drama.

Our team of specialist and dedicated teachers provide the inspiration our pupils need to realise their academic goals. The focus on academic success is complemented by first class pastoral care and attention to the learning needs of each individual child. We are focused on guiding our pupils on the, not always smooth, journey from pre-teen to young adult, promoting student wellbeing and using evidence-based research to inform teaching methods and implement later start times for teens (in line with findings regarding the teenage brain and sleeping patterns).

We maintain small class sizes, allowing us to tailor our teaching to support and inspire every child within our diverse community. The school's prime north London location also facilitates our broad sporting curriculum, with students frequenting the best facilities for outdoor adventure and water sports, as well yoga, martial arts and fitness classes. All students are exposed to nearly 20 sports on the curriculum in Years 7 and 8, revisiting them in Years 9 and 10 to develop their skills and interests. Nearly all sports are then available at GCSE, with core sport still on the curriculum for students not taking PE as a GCSE option.

For a real insight into what North Bridge House Senior Canonbury has to offer, we encourage families to visit our vibrant school. Our teachers are always happy to discuss our provision and identify how we can provide the very best all round education for your son or daughter.
