North Bridge House prides itself on its impressive results and academically non-selective co-education, challenging and inspiring pupils throughout every stage of their school career. With specialist expertise from the Early Years through to A Level, we are on a constant journey of getting to know and understand every learner as a unique individual, helping them to find and realise their true academic and personal potential.

Celebrating results well above the national average, the Nursery and Pre-Prep Schools develop the fundamental skills upon which pupils' future successes are built. The warm and nurturing environment in which children find the confidence to express themselves assertively and creatively offers a rich and forward-thinking curriculum, allowing them to develop a genuine love of learning without the added pressure of entrance exams; NBH provides a stress-free through education up to age 18. With everything from Philosophy for Children and Forest School to a vegetable garden and chicken run, the schools’ focus is on promoting children’s social and emotional development as much as their academic achievement.

NBH Prep School maintains its outstanding provision through its bespoke senior school preparation: pupils are taught by subject specialists and individually prepared - according to their personal strengths and interests - for entry to some of the country’s best schools, with a strong focus on confidence and wellbeing. We advise on and facilitate every path to success, with pupils either leaving the Prep School at the end of Year 6 (taking the 11+, the Consortium exam, or going to one of the NBH Senior Schools), or at the end of Year 8 (taking the Common Pre-Test, the Common Entrance exam, or schools' individual entrance tests) and often gaining highly competitive scholarship places.

Our high-achieving Senior Schools prepare pupils for university life and the world of work with unrivalled UCAS support and careers events, and celebrate top GCSE and A Level results. 2020 saw NBH Senior Schools achieve 67% Grades 7-9 at GCSE and the Sixth Form gain 68% A*/A grades at A Level. The expert teaching teams harness research into teen development and learning patterns to further understand and maximize pupils’ potential. For example, using evidence-based research, we have implemented a later (midweek) start time for teens, which reflects the current findings regarding the teenage brain and sleeping patterns, and continue to work with the Institute of Education on developing metacognition in our students.

PE is essential to our schools’ offering and our prime north London location sees us benefit from the best facilities for track and field, outdoor adventure, and water sports.

From Bushcraft to the Duke of Edinburgh Award, there is also a busy schedule of enrichment activities, workshops and school trips, all centred around our aim to cultivate character and promote wellbeing. This, together with our outstanding pastoral support, sees our students leave as articulate, confident, determined young people, proud to be themselves.
