With a long-established tradition, dating from the end of the nineteenth century, Quainton Hall is an IAPS Preparatory School, providing an excellent breadth of education for children between the ages of two and a half and thirteen.

We offer first-rate facilities within a secure, nurturing and family-centred environment. We emphasise high academic expectations and standards combined with a broad and balanced curriculum.

Our new building containing the Nursery and reception classes is an outstanding facility providing our children with the most up-to-date education. We boast other superb facilities including a recently-refurbished Swimming pool and Art and Design centre, Astroturf pitch, a new ICT suite and modern classrooms. We also run three minibus routes (morning and evening) to help parents who might find the timings of journeys into school challenging.

With a dedicated team of experienced staff, the working environment of the school is carefully planned, enabling every child to shine. Each individual is nurtured to realise their potential and develop their strengths by achieving success.

All our children are well prepared to move on to top London day and boarding schools, with a large proportion of our leavers receiving awards to these schools. The majority of our girls leave at 11 and, whilst most of our boys choose to stay with us until 13, some transfer to local Grammar Schools at 11.

We are a school that is proud of its academic tradition, has a genuine sense of community and ensures the interests of the girls and boys are very much at heart.

As educators and in the increasingly competitive environment in which children find themselves today, we believe it is our duty to foster creative thinking, to develop independent learning and to support every child in gaining the confidence to believe and know that they ‘can’.

QHS children leave us as confident, polite and well-respected young citizens who are fully prepared for senior school.

In our most recent ISI Inspection Report (February 2020) Quainton Hall School was judged ‘excellent' - the highest possible rating - in every single category by the Independent School Inspectorate.
