St. Clare’s School near Porthcawl, South Wales is proud to provide only the best education to pupils from Nursery age all the way through to Sixth Form. We believe that by being able to take children from the age of 3 through to 18, we’re able to ensure they receive the necessary amount of care and academic attention throughout the whole of their educational journey.

Close to the M4, halfway between Cardiff and Swansea, we are minutes from the glorious Glamorgan Heritage Coast.

With high quality throughout the school and a proven track record of our pupils achieving excellent GCSE and A-level results, St. Clare’s School is the perfect place for children to grow and flourish.

Nursery

St. Clare’s Nursery is the perfect place for your child to begin their educational journey. Our combination of an experienced team of nursery staff and fantastic facilities provide the perfect environment for learning and personal growth. With pastoral care and learning support, your child will receive all the support and care they require to achieve their full potential.

Prep School

The majority of pupils that attend our Prep School joined from the Nursery at St. Clare’s. However, we do also take pupils from elsewhere. What sets our Prep School apart from the rest is our dedication to creating an environment in which our pupils feel comfortable and happy. We believe this approach is why our pupils always have a smile on their face.

Senior School

Our Senior School is the perfect place for children between the ages of 11 and 16 to develop both academically and personally. The individual approach that we take to education means that each pupil receives the amount of support that they need in all areas of education, allowing them to express themselves and achieve their best.

As pupils progress, the focus shifts towards preparation for GCSEs. Although the focus is on GCSE preparation, we believe it’s important not to put too much pressure on pupils, meaning learning throughout the whole of our Senior School remains fun and engaging.

Sixth Form

Our brand new state-of-the-art Sixth Form Centre is the perfect place for young adults to progress and take their education into their own hands. Between the ages of 16–18, it is essential for pupils to take charge of their learning moving forwards.

We offer students an abundance of educational independence, while also being there to support them along their journey if needed. We believe that this approach better prepares pupils for future scenarios such as university and work placements.

Being part of St. Clare's School is great for all. Whether you’re a parent, staff of member or pupil, our school’s all-inclusive environment, friendly atmosphere, and commitment to academic excellence means that no matter how high your standards are, we will meet them.

Admissions

Our Open Mornings and personal tours run throughout the year. We offer taster days for registered applicants to give your child the opportunity to experience life at St Clare’s.
