Founded in 1935, Staines Preparatory School has been delivering high quality education to the children of Surrey for over 80 years. We are a happy, welcoming and non-selective school that prides itself on creating a genuine family atmosphere allied to a first rate educational experience.

We have a strong track record of our pupils going on to competitive grammar and independent schools and a visit to us will reveal all our children are confident, well-adjusted, global citizens. Our educational experience is both challenging and fun, giving our pupils the tools to achieve well above the national average.

This supportive and nurturing environment enables children to fulfil their potential and become confident, independent lifelong learners across all areas of the curriculum. This year there has been a successful whole school approach to embedding a 'Growth Mindset' culture at Staines Preparatory School. This has had a positive impact on different approaches to learning. There have been various parental workshops and seminars on how parents can support their child's learning across the curriculum, delivered by staff and external speakers. The pupils at Staines Prep learn the value of commitment to successful learning. In addition to this, our pupils develop discipline and a sense of responsibility.

Beyond the original school façade, we have multi-million pound developments of new classrooms, a science lab which many secondary schools would be envious of, a large sports hall and theatre space which all pupils take advantage of. We are committed to delivering the highest quality educational experience and our independent status allows us to provide a bespoke learning opportunity alongside the National Curriculum.

To come and experience the school first hand, you can arrange a private tour to fit in around your commitments, or visit us at one of our popular Open Mornings which run throughout the year. Details of these can be found on our website.
