Tettenhall College prides itself on its heritage foundations. With a history dating back to 1863, the School has played a significant role in educating boys and girls across the West Midlands, further afield and internationally for many years.

The emphasis at Tettenhall College is centred around developing each and every pupil. Enabling each pupil to discover, create and drive their skills and talents in every facet of their education - truly being able to 'release their potential'. The School is built on a core vision and values through the School's overarching mission for everyone to do their best.

A vision to provide outstanding personalised education. A mission to nurture the pupils to achieve their potential and discover their unique talents, to thrive for excellence and to foster self-belief. Creativity to have the freedom to adapt and evolve for the pupil's future. The School community - to foster a safe and secure family environment. To cultivate emotional intelligence.

Tettenhall College is known to all of the School community as the 'TC Family'. Staff provide support and guidance to every pupil, creating a warm, friendly and caring environment. The School believes in a single, inclusive community in which everyone is valued equally. Teachers know their pupils extremely well and are able to respond to their individual needs, whether academic, practical or emotional.

Boarding life is a 'home from home', with international senior and junior boarders, flexi, weekly and day boarders, forging life-long friendships together and with the local day pupils. Boarders have their dedicated well-equipped single sex boarding houses. Dedicated weekend trips and activities are planned and a well-balanced nutritious varied menu is served each day for all of the pupils.

In the Preparatory School, the unique enrichment programme aims to deepen and widen the experience of pupils with subjects ranging from Latin to Mandarin and a dedicated Forest School that is deeply in bedded into the core curriculum, right from the beginning.

In the Senior School, the dedicated Head of Sixth Form and Head of Careers, work closely with every pupil, understanding and supporting the pupil to make the right choices for their next important stage in their education. The School's 'Pathways' Programme introduces a wide variety of unique opportunities, to aid each pupil to obtain an in depth, first-hand experience and knowledge regarding industry sectors, to enable them to make that vital 'career path'.

Pupils are taught in small class sizes for each individual to reach their true potential across the curriculum. Academic success is a major focus across the whole School, with consistently high GCSE and A Level grades above national averages. In 2019, 25% of pupils achieved A*, A or B in all of their subjects, with the majority of pupils gaining places at their first choice of university, including some of the top institutions in the country. BTEC in Performing Arts will be offered from September 2020. Scholarship programmes are offered from Y7 to Sixth Form across: Academic, Art, Music, Sport and Drama.

An extensive Sports programme is offered for all ages through the School. From swimming to squash, seasonal sports to fencing. Regular sporting fixtures to interschool matches. The Performing Arts (Music and Drama) and Art departments attract and nurture incredible talent - winning numerous accolades and entrances into future specialist academies and universities.
