Woodhouse Grove School is a co-educational day and boarding school located in Yorkshire. With our Prep School, Brontë House, we can provide a seamless education from 2 to 18 years. Boarding is from Year 7.

Our campus is set in idyllic countryside with outstanding facilities, yet only four miles from Leeds Bradford Airport and with direct train links to Leeds City Centre. With artificial pitches, competition pool, climbing wall, recording studio and 230 seater theatre, the opportunities for our students are endless.

Offering an "all-round" education and academic excellence - Woodhouse Grove is proof that both can flourish under one roof, as confirmed by our 'Excellent' rating in the latest ISI inspection (2017).

The Grove is well known for its ability to produce well-rounded, go-getting, entrepreneurial young people. The school's sporting heritage and success is firmly established - and it's performing arts offering is second to none. Combine this co-curricular pedigree with a strong academic ethos, as explained by Deputy Head for Academic, Ed Wright, and it's win-win for parents and pupils.

"We see learning and academic success as a collaborative effort between the teacher and student. Every member of staff works incredibly hard to get to know their individual students - to understand their drives and motivations, how they learn and what they want to achieve."

Grovian values are instilled in pupils from the start of their Grovian journey and include being kind and generous, committed and resilient, enterprising and resourceful.

To be a "Grovian" is something that benefits pupils long after they leave the school gates for the last time. The school's alumni - or "Old Grovians" - form a close, altruistic network across a huge variety of fields - from Red Arrows Team Leader to Engineer; from Chief Executive to the West End.

A word from our Headmaster, James Lockwood,

"At Woodhouse Grove we appreciate that every child has their own unique personality, talents and skills. We nurture and celebrate this individuality at all stages of their education.

Prospective parents are impressed by the confidence, commitment and respect shown by our students and choose Woodhouse Grove to deliver their child's education and unlock their potential.

We recognise this potential could lie anywhere - so we offer every pupil a huge array of opportunities and experiences. We take pride in identifying and honing their strengths as well as giving them the confidence to tackle any challenges.

I am proud of our holistic approach which prepares each and every Grovian for life beyond the classroom."
