Ballet success keeps Brentwood School's Ellie on her toes

Brentwood School ballet dancer Ellie Williams will get a taste of the professional ballet world as she has been picked to perform with the English Youth Ballet.

Fourteen-year-old Ellie, who auditioned with hundreds of other young dancers, will perform with the company in their production of Giselle at The Cliffs Pavilion, Southend-on-Sea, in May.

English Youth Ballet perform full-length productions of classical ballets with professional principal dancers in the leading roles in regional theatres across the UK, giving young dancers outside London, and aged 8 to 18 years, an opportunity to perform within a professional setting.

Fourth Year Ellie, who also dances tap and modern, last performed with the English Youth Ballet four years ago in a production of Coppelia. She will also perform with her dance school, The Morgan Academy of Performing Arts, at the Palace Theatre, Westcliff- on-Sea, next month in ‘Dreams’ – a show in which she can really showcase her dancing.
