Charlie and Strings for Youth Open Bach Festival
Posted on 11th Sep 2025 in school news, MusicCharlie (L5 Crick) had the incredible honour of opening a Bach festival in the City of London as part of the elite chamber ensemble Strings for Youth, directed by Tim Wells during the summer. The programme featured works by Bach, Handel, and Purcell and was performed in the National Musicians’ Church – Holy Sepulchre, High Holborn, alongside the memorial to Sir Henry Wood, founder of the BBC Proms.
It was a powerful and moving performance, earning Strings for Youth a return invitation and showcasing the talent and dedication of these young string players. Hear the performance here:
